The experience starts with a visit to Mercado de Surquillo where travelers can sense the real atmosphere of a traditional Peruvian market and sample tropical fruits and other local produce on the spot.
The tour continues in Barranco, Lima’s artistic and bohemian neighborhood perched on the Costa Verde cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This quarter homes art galleries and shops, beautiful architecture from the late 19th and early 20th century, coffee shops with great ambience, century-old bars and excellent restaurants.
Travelers get to watch how ceviche –Peru’s flagship dish– is made. Lunch composed of various seafood and fish dishes to be served family-style will be enjoyed at a local cevichería highlighting Peru’s culinary melting pot.
An after-lunch stroll will lead to the enjoyment of Peru’s high-altitude organic coffee at one of the most outstanding coffee shops in the city and delicious Italian-style gelato or sorbetto made with Peruvian Amazon fruits and chocolate.
Tour starts at 10 am and ends at 3 pm
